Description
The Test Tube Dock for Moving Colonies makes transferring ants from one test tube to another easy and stress-free. Each dock includes two connection ports for each size — 16 mm, 18 mm, and 20 mm — so you can move a colony from a smaller tube into the next size up as they grow.
This temporary housing setup lets your ants move on their own schedule, reducing stress and minimizing escape risks. Simply attach both tubes to the dock and allow the colony to relocate naturally.
If any of the connection ports aren’t being used, block the exit holes with cotton to keep the setup secure and guide the ants toward the intended tube.
For faster moves, cover the new tube to make it darker (a towel or AntGear Privacy Screen works great) and apply gentle warmth with a heat cable to make it more inviting.

This allows you to connect multiple test tubes and of different sizes at once! It connects 16mm, 18mm, and 20mm size tubes. I had a camponotus colony that was out of room in the standard 16mm tube but not ready for a formicarium, so I used this to connect and move them into a 20mm tube. Works great! If you look at my picture, I am not currently using it for moving ants, so I attached an extra drinking water only tube to one of the connections then plugged the rest with cotton. This also has a mini outworld that works great for feeding. A+
