These entomology forceps are made of lightweight stainless steel. The entomology forceps you will find at ecology supply stores are made of a thicker material that can cause damage to the insect. You won’t have that problem with these Ant Gear forceps because they are super thin!

I used these forceps to gently move my Acromyrmex colony. Worked very well for moving the fungus and picking up ants without hurting them.

Forceps are nice and cheap, working perfectly. Only thing is that they don’t work the best on 2mm ants, and mine came a little offset, but I fixed the offset and learned to be a bit more gentle when dealing with my small ants.
